From the Hollers (fromthehollers.com) is run by author Stephanie Woodie in Lansing, North Carolina. This page explains what information is collected when you visit or buy from this site, and how it is used. I keep it simple: I only collect what I need to get your order to you.
What I collect
- When you place an order: your name, email address and billing address. For signed books, also your shipping address and phone number if you give one.
- Payment details: card and payment information is entered directly with the payment processor (WooPayments/Stripe, PayPal, Afterpay, Klarna or Cash App Pay). I never see or store your full card number.
- When you browse: basic visit information such as pages viewed, device and browser type, collected through cookies and site statistics.
How I use it
- To process your order, send your digital download link and receipt by email, and ship signed books.
- To answer your questions and handle refunds or problems with an order.
- To understand which pages and products people enjoy, so I can improve the site.
- I do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Who it is shared with
Only the services needed to run the shop: the payment processors listed above, WooCommerce and WordPress.com (which host the store), the shipping carrier for signed books, and, for site statistics and advertising, services such as Jetpack, Google Analytics and Pinterest. Each of these handles your information under its own privacy policy.
Cookies
This site uses cookies to keep your shopping cart working, remember your choices and measure visits. You can accept, reject or change your choices with the cookie banner. See the Cookie Policy for details.
How long I keep it
Order records are kept as long as needed for taxes, accounting and your download access. Your account (if you create one) stays until you ask me to delete it.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information I have about you, or to stop receiving emails, at any time. Just reply to your order email or send a message through the From the Hollers Facebook page, and I will take care of it.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
